BIG AL's CORNER

I waited a couple of daze after the game, so I could water it down a bit.
Why after Massey's touchdown, did he not carry the pigskin again except for a third down and ten play?
The Ryan Kennedy question has been asked, so I won't harp on it.
Where was Devin Lowery?
Why didn't Cory Muse play?
What was Justin Rogers injury early in the game.
Same question for Caleb Peveto?
The fourth down call before half as been worked over by now.
Things of concern.
Guy Morriss said in the second half "they could run at will" and he is correct.
Baylor had around 335 yards in the second half.
It's no secret SMU's defense was completely dominated, and "worn" out in the second half. But I'm sure you have heard the old saying "stop them, and get off the field"
My worry is why we stayed on the field so long.
We played 4 tackles, all of them juniors. And all of them weighing at least
280 lbs.
We played 3 DE's two juniors, and one senior.
Besides our starting LB's, Rico Harris and Reggie Carrington got a lot of snaps. That crew has two sixth year SR's, one fifth year Senior, a redshirt Soph. and a true Soph.
DB's had three backups, "that I caught" with Lindley, Goode and Blackmon.
After SMU went up 14-6 in the second half, we could have taken control of the game, but the defense let Baylor drive the length of the field, for a touchdown and two point conversion. Then Baylor scored twenty two unanswered points!
Baylor ran 85 offensive plays to SMU's 62!
Time of possession 37:14 to 22:46.
This wasn't USC we were playing, this was a team that hadn't won a road game since Moby [deleted] was a minnow!
Now the offense sure didn't help the cause, but the defense fell apart in the second half.
Speaking of the offense? is anyone else tired of those slow developing running plays?
It's hard to believe both of our qb's threw all of those passes in the Spring, Summer and training camp, and can look that inept!
If I did not know better, I would think we never practiced special teams, first punt....blocked! First field goal (at the 4 yd line) blocked! Kickoff return fumbled!
That's it for now, I'm getting tired head.
