This thread is designed for possible new head coaches. Please limit your post to one name only with no explanation. I will then take the list to Copeland as possible replacements for next year. I will start it off:
Todd Dodge.

I suggest this discussion be tabled until a more appropriate time.
After Copeland

The more appropriate time is after Copeland is replaced.
My recommendation for a replacement coach:

Our team and coaching staff have ten more games to play this season.
They need to maintain their focus and keep morale as high as possible.
This type of discussion should be dropped until a clearer picture of where the football program is headed emerges.

I don't really want to participate in this discussion either, because I don't want a new coach or even AD as much as a real commitment from the university, but since you brought it up, um, HOW MUCH CLEARER CAN THE PICTURE GET???

I thought about this while I was shaving. Obviously, if SMU beats TCU, a lot of us are going to look like real @$$holes.
I agree with Dooby. Nobody knows what is going to happen with Tulane. If SMU loses to Tulane, I think the conclusion for everybody will be inescapable. My mind will be made up by then. For others, if not then, then ECU three weeks later.
But the fact of the matter is that Bennett is the coach right now, and no matter what any of us say, he is the coach for the near future. We can at least wait until he isn't.

I'll gladly take that for the win. Lots of people already think I look like that anyway.

I'm all in favor of these kind of discussions, as well as threads talking about how bad we suck, if only for the possibility that our players might read them and get angry. I want our players as angry as possible. Don't really care who they're angry at.

I have two suggestions:
1. Bruce Snyder- currently offensive coordinator at UNLV, led ASU to Rose Bowl and was a former National Coach of the Year!
2. Rick Neuheisel- Wants a second chance to prove himself
3. I would even settle for RC Slocum

Isn't that 3 suggestions?

Hell, just hire Cutcliffe -- he got a raw deal in the first place.
