Bennett was on the radio saying he wished he had gotten him in last week, but didn't say why he didn't play.

If he did that against Baylor we could have won...

DeMyron is the FULL, MEAL DEAL! He has that extra something that distiguishes the GREAT backs from the good backs. When Columbus Givens dropped that sure touchdown pass, you could just feel the air go out of the balloon. The offense had been 3 and out the first 2 (3?) times out and it looked like it would be a long day for the defense. DeMyron came in and there was an IMMEDIATE change beginning with his first couple of carries. This guy has what we have been missing! He sees the hole and pops through it, while the average back is still juking and jibing. Plus, it takes 2 to 3 guys to bring him down if they try to tackle him up high. His physical stats are almost the same as Dickerson's and I can see why the comparisons have been made. If he stays healthy and Bennett continues to "ride" him, we could be in for some real fun times! One thing I would like to see Bennett do is get him the ball outside to see how fast he can get there and if he busts the line, see if his top end speed can come close to matching ED.

I would like to see at least some I Formations too. When you get a quick long stepping runningback like a Dickerson or Peterson generally they are more effective if you let them get a full head of steam and look over the line a bit. He really is not the proto-type back for our split back offense-but he was a sight for sore eyes last nite.

Stallion, I am with you on the I formation. I like a lead blocker blasting into the hole that can really allow for some big gains!

One other thing, a back like DeMyron can make even the average offensive lineman look great. Bus, just think how playing DeMyron will HELP our recruiting of BIG MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :!:

what ipressed me was his patience in waiting for a hole...and how he hit the slightest crease and turned it into a 7-8 yard carry. I like the 2 back set with Massey leading. Massey had one carry to the short side after Martin had established himself...and it looked to me like Massey had stepped it up himself hustling for those 3 yds.
