QB question for observers

What do you all think about the QB race? I think it will be between Bartel and Wallis. They both seem more athletic than Luker. Bartel seems to have the attitude. All three looked pretty decent in the scrimmage on Thursday. Speaking of the scrimmage, I was not sure if I was watching the Mustangs because the defense could not stop the offense. Usually it was the other way around. The offense conquered the defense in the red zone, which used to be the no-score-zone for SMU.

Either the defense has not gotten used to the new system and the offense has, or Edmondson knows what he is doing and we finally have a great offensive system. I personally think it is a little of both.

Defense couldn't stop the offense? Sounds like the Rossley days. Except in this case, we have defensive talent and great coaching. If the offense is really cranked up a few gears over the last few years, we could have a heck of a turnaround on the Hilltop - maybe sooner than expected.

My one wish for next year is to see a QB out there who is taller than the O-line.

Page could run and Luker can throw, but not being able to get a good view of the field when in the pocket really hampers a QB's ability to effectively get the ball where it needs to be.

How tall are the QBs on next year's roster?

If it helps to cheer you up Bartel is about 6ft. 4in. and Wallis probably about 6ft. 2in. They can both definetely see over the line, that won't be a problem.
