Looking Good!
Posted: Sun Sep 11, 2005 3:17 amI have not posted much, but I am always there every game and tonight my heart burst with pride.
First off, I was on the hater bus to fire Copeland and fire Bennett, but then I saw the ponies tonight.....We have some good recruits and some players. Our Defense is awesome! We were close in that Baylor game until our defense got tired. No words can desribe how good our D was tonight.
We stilll have a lot of things to fix. Special teams still suck. Another blocked punt.., Numerous Missed field goals and a kick off return for a touchdown.
Offfense looked a bit better, did enough to win. I think Phil has recruited well and tonight we saw the corner turned. It will get better too. We beat the number 22 team in the nation and hung tough against a big 12 team in Baylor. I think everyone would agree Baylor would knock the socks off TCU, but we played them close.
Next week will be interesting, Need more offense to take the pressure off the defense, but a couple of big wins and get the enthusiam up and recruit those Dallas players and in a couple of years, we are challenging for the CUSA crown and at least going to a bowl
