Cab: $15 Round trip
Ticket: $12
Water: $3
Soda: $4
Seeing TCU fans shocked and speechless: Priceless

Great game...I talked to some SMU and TCU fans before, during and after the game. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my SMU buddies until the end of the game....so I spent part of the game and halftime looking for them. I only have one complaint: too many TCU fans in your own stadium...it was like 60% TCU fans - 40% SMU fans.

Anyway, congratulations on your win Saturday and I'll see you Nov 26 at Ford Stadium when the mighty UTEP Miners come to town.

Hope you didnt expect SMU to have more fans than TCU especially after SMU lost to Baylor and TCU beat OU.

Man it was hilarious though to see them all sitting down and not saying a word. It's funny that we were so much louder than them when they outmanned us by a 2-1 margin.

NO WAY! OK, half the east side stands were for the froggies. The northeast corner of the end-zone was TCU, I guess from the froggie train that came over from FW on the TRE?

Most all of the rest were SMU fans, and at least looked more than the official crowd of 22,000. I guessed 25000, but that was about midway through the second quarter when a lot of the students who got word we had a chance, and non football fans on the Boulevard made it in.

I'd say it was 60% comitted SMU fans, 35% froggie fans, and 5% sounded like a fun thing to do on a Saturday night fans.

I don't know what game you were at, but it was not 2-1 frog fans. When you sit on the west side of the stadium it looks like there are more visiting fans...you are looking at THE VISITING SECTION! I say 60-40 SMU, or more for SMU. That's not ideal but considering our non performance against Baylor it was better than I expected.

I thought it was a little better than 50-50 SMU and that was a pleasant surprise. I really thought there would be 20k TCU fans there.

Agreed. I feared the same thing, and was very impressed by the SMU turnout -- how many there were, how LOUD we were, and the fact that we stayed. I know, we won, but there have been games in the past when we were winning or the game was very close and I've seen fans leaving very early. This was the team's best performance in a long time, and the fans' best performance, too.

OK how can you be impressed with 12,000-14,000 SMU fans against our arch rival? The attendance was abysmal.

Whew. That's the Stallion we know and love. I was worried for a moment.

I have decided that if Stallion were a Simpsons' character, he'd be Leopold, the Deputy Superintendent of Springfield Schools.

It was an awful crowd-let's not congratualate ourselves for being awful. 22,000 is awful-its even worse when 8-10,000 of them are Froggies. Congratualate the people who came and cheered if you want but not the size of the crowd.
