What I want to know is why the Aggies refer to UT as Varsity (as in "Saw Varsity's horns off"), when everyone knows that SMU is the "Varsity". We all know Peruna has no horns except when cute Texas Tech horses walk by. And does that make the Aggie's the junior varsity?

Not sure if you wanted a real answer, but here you go:
When A&M and UT started playing back in the late 1800's, they were not yet the Longhorns, just had varsity and jr. varsity. Hence the Ag's were just playing "Varsity".

I noticed you referred to them as UT and not TU. You realize this does nothing to help perpetuate the Aggie stereotype.

I'm surprised a bunch of Ags haven't jumped on you already. It's tu not
TU.
Guess all the Ags are still held up in Ponyfans registration, and haven't
obtained their security clearances yet.

Also, "varsity" is like a shortened/slang version of saying "university". When Louis Stuckey wrote our alma mater he was looking at Dallas Hall on the hilltop, and in 1915 it was the entire university. He was looking up at "the university" or "varsity", hence "Oh we see the varsity, varsity, varsity, as she towers o'er the hill..."
From high on the hilltop, in Big D...

Someone needs to let all of the sorority girls know this.
They keep wondering why we sing our "Alma Mater" about the Snack Bar in the basement of Hughes-Trigg...

Varsity was actually the name before Bevo. Hence, saw Varsity's horns off.

Hey Aggie, tell the youngsters how Bevo got its name. And while you are at it, they probably don't know who Bevo is.
Man I miss the SWC.

Varsity's name was then changed to Bevo when A&M branded 13-0 on him after an A&M win. the 13=B, the -=E, snuck a V in there 0=O...BEVO.

I always thought it was 13-10. Right?
Update: I looked it up, and 13-0 was the right answer. I guess I cannot qualify for cult membership, darn it.

Apologies -
Trying to not be abrasive on an opponent's board.
UT is in Tennessee. tu is in Austin.
Sorry to let everyone down.

I thought it was "13 V 0" as in 13 versus 0. Only it came out looking like BVO, or "Bevo"

I'm not going to argue with the brainwashed about UT, tu, life is to short. All I know is that Tennessee has a better shade of orange and the University of Texas at Austin doesn't deserve anyone's respect. As far as I'm concerned that little school, and the one in College Station are a bunch of money grubbing whores who killed a great conference for a few sheckels.
