Oh Darn-It Looks Like Rain Out West

....and the TCU game starts in just a few hours. Hope it doesn't ruin their sellout crowd for that Big Shootout MWC game that everyone in Texas is talking about. How do you think this matchs up wuth the 1969 Texas-Arkansas Big Shootout?

Thanks Stallion. That made me laugh, especially since I see nothing but rain out my office window.

WOW Bring back memories. I was at that game. Nixon's helicopter entrance was quite impressive. I still remember all the service choppers landing south of the stadium.

...looks like the Frog Fans are downplaying attendance at Tonite's BIG SHOOTOUT of BCS caliber schools to the mid 20,000s. I thought going to the MWC was the big break TCU was looking for to fill up Amon Carter Stadium.

Kickoff is in 10 minutes an it looks like about 8,000-on newscast.

shootout

Postby peruna81 » Thu Sep 15, 2005 6:27 pm

I remember the ut-ark game in '69 as well...a blinded moment when I rooted for an afternoon for the Horns...don't think tonight's game in Utah is going to quite have the legs that DKR's and Broyle's had, though.

It will be interesting to see how the crowd is panned..if tc-who makes a play, will there be any fans there to notice ? Does a tree that falls in the MWC make a ..oh well, you know...
