Darrin Johnson

I drove past North Dallas High School yesterday and saw a student I can only assume is Darrin Johnson. Wow. He was standing with two other students, and they looked like Lilliputians next to him. He looked like he's every inch of 6-6, and I'd guess he's in the 290-300 range. And he looked lean, like he could easily carry more weight. Once he gets to work with Coach Faucette, I bet his quickness improves, as will his strength. Can't wait to see him next fall.

See... I told ya. I came to the same conclusion, there's NO WAY there can be two guys like that at North Dallas High. And remember, Johnson has supposedly never been in any kind of weight-lifting program -- if that's true... Jeez.
He's the baddest lookin' 18-year-old on the planet.

sweet. I just hope we play him at D-line and not tight end. I would love to see some pressure on the opposing qbs.

Not so fast, my friend!
I'm still not sure Darrin's quick enough to play defensive end. I'd like to see him at defensive tackle (he could be a major star there -- maybe next to this Steven Coleman kid from Skyline?) or at offensive tackle. (How about Darrin next to Recruiting Guru's guy - Jorrie Adams - as bookend offensive tackles?)
