I want to take a moment to express my undying gratitude to Phil Bennett's valiant SMU team for derailing the TCU hype machine.

Were it not for that delicious SMU victory over the frogs last weekend, we would be completely inundated with the media falling all over themselves to proclaim the frogs as this year's "BCS buster". I shudder to imagine how much crap we would have had to endure, listening to the mindless blathering of guys like Herbstreit marveling at how the frogs had beaten OU in Norman and broken the Utah winning streak.

So rest assured that I, along with many Tech fans, are hoisting a cold one to pay tribute to the SMU Mustangs and their tremendous victory over the frogs, which once again set things right in the college football cosmos.

Feel free to duplicate this accomplishment Saturday against the Ags.
