Guys, we are doing this all wrong. Last week, we were all very pessimistic and cynical. We were downright mean. And look what happened?

I am wearing the same shirt and pants I wore last friday and took the same route to work. Tomorrow, I am wearing the same shirt, shorts and shoes I wore last Saturday. Hell, I am going to eat the same thing before the game, which means I have to get to Snuffers at 11 when they open and eat fast.

We need to be as negative as possible!*

I think I understand your point. Either superstition or setting expectations. While I might agree with the latter, I think the former is a bit ... looney.

I already made a pact with Thad that if SMU wins, I will wear the jersey that I wear to the SMU game to the UT game later in the day. I guarantee you the response will be very positive. When TCU beat OU to start the season some peeps wore TCU shirts and got a roaring applause from the crowd when they were shown on the Jumbotron. Heh.

Dooby, I hear you. When I came home after the Frog game and told my wife SMU won, she asked if she needed to mark my underwear so I could wear it for the rest of games in the season. I think I'll just stick to the same hat and shirt.

I haven't bathed since then. Planning on wearing the same funk to the game tomorrow.

I agree Dooby. We suck. We still suck, and we'll be lucky if we don't lose by 100 tomorrow. Maybe we'll get lucky, but I really doubt it.

Odd, really...Dooby, which Snuffer's did you go to? I was in FB, so wound up at the one in Addison. Alas, I can't go to that Snuffer's...or any Snuffer's this week, so I guess I'll be eating BBQ at 9:30 am.

I was at the original location. I have to risk it tomorrow and go to the Plano location. I have solo kid duty tomorrow as the wife is at a brunch.

Treadawy, you're so lucky. We need more understanding women like your wife.

Thanks, I am lucky. She doesn't understand how I get so wrapped around the axel on SMU, but she puts up with me. She has had to deal with that a lot the past few years, as I'm not a very good person to be around when we lose. I am hopeful that things are now changing for the better, and she is too!
