a team transitioning from Division II to Division 1-AA. I love it-this year's non-conference schedule truly makes me want to puke. The NCAA is in desperate need of new leadership. When all you got to do is schedule North Dakota State, Northeastern Idaho Tech and Deleware School of Blind all at home and then go 6-6 something is terribly wrong with the game I love.

UC-Davis is one of the up and coming programs that many Wac-a-teers have been toutng for expansion along with Montana
Don't look now but all these state supported programs in footbll talent rich states like UC-Davis and Fla Atlantic/International may someday leave SMU in the dust. Very sad, indeed...but things do change
Let's just hope we don't lose to Sam Houston Texas State in front of 8,325 people next year

some additional information. UC-Davis is in the 3rd year of a 4 year transition from Division II to Division 1-AA. UC-Davis only has 35 scholarship players. They had already lost to New Hampshire and Portland St. It was the home opener for former Pitt Coach Walt Harris.

Thats a horrible loss for Stanford. We have had some bad losses post DP, but none would approach the shame of losing to UC Davis. Not even close. I bet the Stanford alums are going crazy, especially since their rival Cal is a top 15 team.
