1000 mile perspective...

Thanks to Mustang75 and FSN, I got the chance to see two games in a row for the first time in 20 years. For those of you that regularly post here that are in the metroplex and have proximity to practice/games at leisure, I now understand much more about your skepticism and frustration concerning the Ponies...that said, it seems.

tc-who showed how far we have come in a year...
aTm shows how far we have to go...

Turnovers and simple basic errors ( carrying the ball on the inside arm at the goaline ) still rule this team. Special teams were anything but special...a defense that did not swarm and played tentatively...receivers that gator-armed passes, or dropped them outright...the list is extensive.

At the risk of being labeled a sunshiner, I still will take where we are this year as compared to the last three. I would imagine that there are some kids this week that are going to listen to coaches and practice with great intensity preparing for Tulane. I am optimistic.

That said, a prophet I am not. The next time I believe we can compete with an upper-tier Big 12 South team, hit me with that newly-won skillet...that being said, isn't there a little wager with a certain frog involving 70+ points and a frying pan ? It was only by a yard, but the beating shall commence...step right up...batter up...

Short, sweet and to the point.
