I have heard it through the grapevine which includes a very high ranking member of the SMU community that Bennett is going to pile it on this weekend and, get this, try to score 20 points. A low blow indeed against Tulane. Have we no shame? I guess we can do what we want to do but this smacks of poor sportsmanship to me. One man's opinion.

Just to clarify, try to score 20 points or try to win by 20 points?

Wouldn't it be great if we could do both?

My source known as Deep Nose met with me in the Moody Parking garage. He kept talking about Cubans and FBI stuff. I tried to keep him on track. Needless to say he was antsy. Something about a grassy knoll in Ford stadium. It was like an enigma wrapped around something and inside another. All I got out of this mess of a conversation was "going for 20." Wish I could relate more.

Watch out for fireworks...or any incendiary devices!

I'm sorry, is scoring 20 whole points running up the score for some??? I mean I hate A&M for what they did, too...but 20????? We better score at least 30 if we want to win #2. I don't see anything bad about trying to beat your points total. Let's go for 24 at least. Then we might have a chance to win.
Another note...if we were playing the refugees who lost everything or didn't have anything to begin with I'd be real civil and say maybe we should just give them the game. We are talking about a bunch of pampered football players most of which are not from NO. Don't hold anything back. I mean I feel sorry for the players from NO and the surrounding areas, but don't make this team an example of those suffering. It's just a little bit less sorry than shedding tears for the poor overpaid New Orleans Ain'ts most of which have 3 other houses if they had one destroyed in NO.

ponyte--nacho was using facetiousness wrapped in sarcasm. i sure caught it. its a kind of dark gallows-related humor that makes disaster seem almost palatable. maybe we should make him a first responder and ship him south.

Which Cubans was he talking about, cigars or the family of the Mavericks owner. Mark Cuban can be annoying sometimes, but a good cuban cigar is always fine. And speaking of Cubans, then there is Livan Hernandez who decided to walk Barry Bonds and give up a game winning (and playoff hope ending) home run to the next batter.

Thanks. Sometimes big dumb football players need a little explaining. Just seems that Bennett would be either setting his sights low as we have score >20 points twice this season or Bennett plans to win and win somewhat impressively while not being overwhelming.

I think someone needs to have their sarcasm meter checked.

Why don't we concern ourselves with winning the game rather than worrying about running up the score. I can't remember the last time we were criticized for that.

Yeah, Hernandez could have gone ahead and pitched to Bonds and got it over with one batter sooner.
