My quote made the paper!
Posted: Thu Sep 22, 2005 4:52 amThe Arkansas paper (Democrat Gazette) asked fans which was the worst Hogs loss. I emailed my vote and comments (of course the 1997 loss to SMU). In the paper today, they had certain fan quotes and I made it under the category of "The Apologists". This is a section head by the following: "The following is a sampling of e-mails received this week from fans who are still in full support of the Hogs:"
"The Arkansas-USC game should have been closer. If the officials hadn't made so many bad calls against the beloved Razorbacks, then we have a chance to win."
The irony that my asinine satirical quote would be printed as a" fan of the Hogs" will leave me with a knowing smile all day long at work. Now if I can just keep my mouth shut at work!
