east of what? Northpark Mall? The EYE -not the storm -is scheduled to make landfall 6 hours before kickoff. There is a heck of alot of damage that can be done miles and miles ahead of the eye itself. The last major huricane to hit Texas Coast reportedly spawned something like 100 tornados. I heard estimates that the storm may move as fast as 20 mph once it hits land-that would place the EYE 120 miles inland by kickoff and about 190 miles in land by games end. Again the storm precedes the EYE. Why cut it so short?

I do not want to minimize the storm but tornados are generally on the front right side of the storm. That will be far east Texas and LA at this point. At this time it appears we have a 30% chance of tropical storm force winds around game time. Some gusts may be higher. A large amount of rain can be expected.
