I don't care about his past. We need to take a chance like UTEP.

ps. Charlie Waters for Athletic Director(that will stir a few of you up)

As much as I hate(as I could not type what I really feel) Rick with a P Neuheisel, I would be on board in a minute. Heck, I would be on board with Ron Meyer coming out of retirement. Let's let Bennet go back to be a D coordinator, his brother can go back to coaching HS where he belongs, our offensive genius can go back to being unemployed, and we deport our Fargin' Special Teams coach to Sweden.

As for AD, you don't need an ex athlete or even a current AD type to run this position. SMU needs to look long and hard at finding a capable executive who can raise money, put butts in the seats, and evaluate talent in the coaching ranks. A good AD would also fight for his corporation since D-1 athletics is really a business. I get sick and tired of the faculty senate and president complaining about the revenue shortfall of the Athletic program. This is a BS number and what we need is for someone to come in, take charge, and turn this thing around. Copeland is not it.

It was fun watching Copeland trying to mingle on The Blvd. today. It looked as if no one wanted to talk to him!

Should have asked him if he wants to buy a Fire Copeland! t-shirt. I will donate all profits to Bad AD Relief.
