Smu Special Teams Play?

Good gosh our special teams are making some "killer mistakes".

Who is our special teams coach this year?

Our team just looked "flat" today.

What next?

I am dejected and may drown in my sorrows at Milo's 2night.

can you believe our Special Teams Coach has enough time to work on the swinging gate formation. Let's make this real simple-Line up and block!

I still do not think we have a ST coach. I think they just do not know where to line up and the kicker has to keep calling them over. After all, how much practice have they had in scoring touchdowns.(sarcasm)

"Let's make this real simple-Line up and block!". Hmmm. Could we incorporate that philosophy into ALL of the offensive plays?

Amen, Stallion. I've never understood the logic behind that stupid "swinging gate" play, anyway. Line up, kick the damn ball and watch the scoreboard add another point. When teams struggle, you often hear coaches talk about "cutting back the playbook" or "simplifying" things. On special teams, screw the gimmicks. Let's leave the special teams excitement to Jessie Henderson.

Do not dishonor SMU great Gary Lee Cavagnaro by speaking ill of the Bad News Bears. Even the 2005 version was much better than our special teams play.

The long awaited Ponyfans.com 'FB Preview' spent exactly zero lines of print on Special Teams.

That should of told us something.
