That was truly the worst offensive performance against a marginal defense I have ever seen. Romo is by far not the only problem, but at least Chris Phillips has proven he can move the ball and make plays with less talent around him. It’s a joke that Bennett has not explained why Chris Phillips is not on the field.

Romo beat TCU. Who exactly did Chris Phillips beat? I'm not saying that Phillips doesn't have some talent but people are deluding themselves if they think he could do any better with this offensive line. He is not a better runner than Romo. Romo is a better passer. I can see the argument that we should throw in the towel and get Phillips ready for next year but please don't imply that somehow he is head and shoulders above Romo. He is not.

First, Tulane is not a marginal defense. Not that it proves my point in Week 2 but they are the No. 1 Defense in the Country right now. I was extremely impressed both athletically and strategically. Let's give them some respect for holding us to 127 yards 17 Tackles for loss and 9 sacks and 27 yards in the passing games(including sacks). Second, you can debate whether Romo is faster tghan Phillips but Phillips is extremely strong and rarely goes down on the first hit-of that I'm convinced. In that respect he's much like Vince Young. Plus I don't think there's much debate that he is more elusive. BTW congratulations to Tony "Tip" Eckert. 2 Tipped balls and 2 sacks in how many plays?

Bennett should have put in Phillips after Romo.

by all means, put phillips in! yes, you heard me, PUT HIM IN. let's let him get his [deleted] knocked off and then we can go back to the problem at hand...offensive line. and dont tell me phillips is more mobile than romo.

You people are delusional if you think Romo is more mobile than Phillips. I realize it's been a while since he has seen the field but it is no contest. As some people have already noted he is more allusive, quicker and he is harder to knock down once he's in the open field. The passing aspect is more of a toss up. I believe that Phillips has a cannon, although he is not that accurate. Romo has been surprisingly accurate thus far, but as we know neither of the two are ideal passers.

Phillips just isn't as fast as he looks. Romo never seemed to get any protection. We know what romo is capable of from the nevada game- last year. My problem was with the play calling. One time it was 3 draws in a row.

The problem definitely starts up front. I'm sure Romo could make more happen if he had time to look at more than 1 receiver. The problem is it's always look to the first receiver then run for your life. It's the same problem with the running game. We aren't dominating up front and we aren't pushing anyone around. We saw it in the TCU game, so I know these guys are capable of doing it, I guess they just aren't motivated anymore.

Also, why do we keep rolling Romo to his right? He can't throw on the run in that direction.

And one more thing... with all of our blocking issues, why don't we use Kennedy more, both as a blocker and a hot route receiver? It seems so obvious.

I think the coaches are trying to save Kennedy. Maybe they can fake an injury and get him a medical redshirt. If they are not going to throw him the ball more than once a game on average, why waste his elegibility?
