Predictions on rest of season AND post-season?

Taking into account the past 16 years of SMU football history, trends, [bad] luck and other general and miscellaneous suckiness, my prediction for the remainder of the season is:

In a ho-hum fashion, SMU loses by a single-digit margin to Marshall, gets trounced by UAB, then manages to pull 2 wins out of the next 4 (My guess is we lose to Rice and Tulsa). UTEP then makes us their [deleted] in an ugly 44-10 loss. Bennett and Copeland both keep their jobs, and we all "look forward" to next season.

[Why do I keep putting myself through this year after year after year?]

I mentioned this in the game thread. If the remaining opposition coaches aren't cognizant enough to put two and two together and beat the Mustangs, each of them should have a performance review.

1 and whatever is not out of the question.

All these other teams have to do is:
Run the ball up the middle.
Cause SMU's kicking game to have to be a factor
Leave SMU's wideouts (the really fast ones) wide open
Let SMU catch the short routes (y'know, the ones we throw 96% of the time)
Stop the feared quick-kick
Wait for the 3rd/4th quarter when the defense gets tired & run some more

Yeah but, we didn't get a punt blocked. Somebody should REALLY be ffired for that during the first 3 games. Haven't seen our quick kick since last year. Very good punts against the hurricane winds from the north.

Really fast wideouts probably out ran any accuracy the QB could have with 30 - 50 mph winds.

Romo quick kicked in the 1st quarter today. So effective was it that it went for a touchback[/quote]
