I don't understand how DeMyron could run with ease on TCU and we can't get a first down on Tulane. What happened to the O-line.

Dominant college offensive lines are filled with seniors and fourth-year juniors. We have one senior (Kieschnick) and three juniors (Johnson, Guidry, Urbanus), and they rotate in with younger guys. A young guy can excel at the skill positions (see DeMyron Martin). The line needs physical maturity as much as any area on the field. They're getting better - not as fast as we'd like, but they are.

Having said that, they had a bad day yesterday - no way to get past that. But this is the same group that opened up holes against TCU - a defense that is faster but smaller than Tulane's. That was ugly yesterday, but they'll be better against Marshall.

Go Mustangs!

OK don't hold your breath-these guys aren't going to ever be dominant. Your going to have to find a coach who can't actually recruit players other teams wanted to develop a dominant offensive line.

It seems to me that they problem has been with the offensive guard and center position, not so much the tackle position. I sure hated to see Boren leave!

When DeMyron gets his shoulders squared upfield, he is tough.

From what I saw yesterday there was not much OL push to give him that chance to get going.
