SMU now has two players on each of two NFL rosters. Josh McCown joins former teammate Coby Rhinehart on the Arizona Cardinals, and Kevin Aldridge joins Donald Mitchell with the Tennessee Titans.

Good luck to all Ponies, and here's hoping Coach Bennett adds to the crew in the pros.

I think we should keep big pictures of all current NFL players who played at SMU hanging somewhere in Ford Stadium or Heritage Hall, so fans can remember the great Ponies and make an effort to follow their pro careers.

Why not combine that with pictures in their NFL uniforms of ALL former SMU players who have played in the NFL? There are pictures outside the football coaches' offices of players who have made All-America, all-conference, etc.

Can you imagine being a recruit walking through Ford Stadium, or Heritage Hall, and seeing pictures if Rhinehart, McCown (OK, he'd undoubtedly get left off for transferring to Sam Houston State), Mitchell, Aldridge - along with pictures of Eric Dickerson, Craig James, Louie Kelcher, Forrest Gregg, Doak Walker, Kyle Rote, Jerry Ball, Dave Richards, Michael Carter, Ron Morris, Russell Carter, etc.? You can bet that places like Nebraska have pictures of Roger Craig, Grant Wistrom, Tom Rathman, Irving Fryar, all those offensive linemen the Huskers have cranked out over the years.

We already have a beautiful stadium, and the facilities like the weight room are as nce as anybody's. This would be a great way to add to the impression we can make on recruits.
