according to the CUSA board the Liberty Bowl has signed CUSA to a 4 year Contract to send its champion(or is it first selection?) to Memphis at about 1.5 Million per year. This is a very happy ending for CUSA which easily has the best bowl lineup of the non-BCS bowls.

SEC signed several months ago. BTW I think the SEC will have some say on the opponent-don't think they want Mississippi-Southern Miss or Memphis-Tennessee type games

Wow.. huge news.
Here's bigger news.. we haven't been in a bowl game for 20 years and I don't see things changing anytime soon.

I saw a press release that we have renewed all bowls.
Here are the match ups in the five bowls. 5 out of 12 CUSA teams can go bowling. Now all we have to do is to get bowl eligible.
Liberty= CUSA vs. SEC
GMAC= CUSA vs. MAC
Hawaii= CUSA vs. WAC
Ft. Worth= CUSA vs. MT. West
New Orleans= CUSA vs. Sun Belt

didn't we agree to go to the Houston Bowl as well or was that only if they got the No. 1 selection?

OK there is some wheeling and dealing in the Hawaii Bowl. Hawaii paper reporting that CUSA signed through 2009 but CUSA with agree to decline to send a team in 2006 to allow the PAC 10 No. 6 to go apparently to shore up the bowl financially.

......and a PAC 10 team will likely play in Ft Worth in 2007.
