Although Comcast apparently does offer CSTV in other parts of the country as a part of its digital sports tier, it is not offered in Dallas. A Comcast response to my inquiry as to why no CSTV as this channel offers Conference USA sports with four Texas teams including SMU. A reason to switch to Dish or Direct TV.

Thank you for contacting us via email today. I appreciate the time you have taken to make your request known. We take customer requests very seriously and want to make every attempt to make them happen. I am forwarding your email to our marketing department for documentation. At this time, there is no mention of adding CSTV to our channel lineup. However, things are always changing, and requests of this kind heavily influence changes that are made on channel lineups for all the cities Comcast serves. Factors such as legal issues, customer request and city approval's all play a part in Comcast adding channels to our network. There are a number of factors that go into programming decisions, including but not limited to:

· Customer Preference
· Overall Programming Mix

First and foremost, we determine what the customer wants through direct customer feedback, local research and national viewer ship ratings like Nielsen. Then, we identify current business factors; including finding the right mix of channels that would appeal to our viewers. Final decisions are those that we think are in the best interest of our customers and offer the highest value. If you need further assistance, please feel free to respond directly to this email. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us.

Sincerely,

Kymberli

That's funny. This is the response I got from them.

Good Morning ,

It is great to hear from our customers via email. I would be happy to provide
this information for you. We offer CSTV games as a season Pay Per View package.
I have sent you an attachment outlining the package and pricing.

At present, we are actively negotiating contracts for several new HD channels to
be added to the Comcast HD channel lineup. However, because these contracts
have not been finalized, the identity of these channels cannot be released at
this time. Please be assured that you will see new HD channels added to your HD
selection in the near future. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
I am happy to help. Take care, and have a wonderful day.

Sincerely,

Megan
Comcast Customer Care Specialist

There was nothing attached, and when I called to ask about ordering the pay per view package, I was told they didn't offer it.

There, you have it from the experts: Kymberli and Megan, from the co-op work program at Skyline High School.

Get DirecTV or Dish and the TIVO/PVR option so you record everything you thought you might want to watch. Only takes about a day to get it installed. Cable sucks!
