but seriously if I hear one more claim that SMU's offensive line will get better with experience I will puke.

so far, both Eckert and Romo look like they should not even be on scholarship!!!! Oh for the days of Mike Romo and Dan Frieburger!!!

I think Fri or Sat said Tony would start...then PB puts out ROMO...

Then, when Tony gets in, we have a handoff, a dropped ball, and he is flushed out....

So he puts Romo back in, who's done nothing (well, but for the dropped 1st downs by chase, and at least a shot by Zack).

Rediculous QB management.

Stallion: have you noticed that when we run simple blocking schemes and play north/south football our OL fares reasonably well? These guys aren't the most athletic guys, but they are maturing physically to the point where they can get a decent push. I'm so tired of watching these guys trying to pull (as they are beaten to their spot by the defense) . Can we please see the M&M boys running out of the I before they complete their eligibility? Put the big boys down in a 3 point stance and play a little smash mouth once in a while! After all, we aren't lining up against A$M today.

with our personnel at TE and RB that's what I'd like to see at least occasionally but I don't expect to see it. Also, Massey is an improving blocking back-check that out.

....so anybody got the Daily Update on whose starting at QB on Monday?

No, but it sure was depressing watching McCown last night and realizing that our OL has sucked for a long time.

I agree with the post above, we need to just get down to the basics, stop trying to pull because even though our guys might be quick enough, they just arent athletic enough to make a block on the run. Just blast away and see what happens.

I was thinking the same thing. He showed talent here, but spent so much time running for his life that he never developed his full potential.

On a related note, I think it's time to scrap the spread offense. We don't have the speed to stretch the field. We don't have the O-line to handle 5 receiver sets. I'd love to see us line up a power I and just run behind 8 guys, as boring as it is.

Something tells me we will soon here from Bennett that "Romo is my guy" and the QB carousel will end.

Interesting hearing the Denver Broncos RB coaches and what they had to say about their scheme and how it works for any RB who comes there.. for the most part.

Shanihan (spelling?) said that the basic principle is this..

The RB can make only one Juke or cut.. then he goes straight.. that's it. Sounds too simple.. but think about it.. one cut and go! Can you imagine any of our guys making one cut? Massey practically has a heart attack in the backfield from all the dancing.. but Martin does okay when he hits the hole, or lack thereof, hard.

Anyway.. just a thought.

I would like to go on record as saying that I think the title of this thread is very funny, clever and poignant. That is all.

I'd add that it is the same music that's been playing since Copeland's
been here. Is he influencing who plays at QB, even during the games :?:

Maybe Cavan was the victim of a control freak :?:

Maybe your blog shoud be renamed CLOG. Eckert's out for the year.

Could Eckert qualify for a medical redshirt? Hasn't played that much???

Is Tate Wallis going to be in the QB shuffle???????

I'd just like to chime in that for the longest time before reading an actual printed roster and just going by PB's references in a press conference, I thought Tate Wallis's first name was "Tight."
