Homecoming Mailout - Are You Kidding Me?
Posted: Mon Oct 03, 2005 10:12 pmMy wife (SMU, '78) got her Homecoming mailout from the Office of Alumni Relations today. It's got all the events listed for the weekend of Nov. 3-6 including the football game (SMU v Rice).
I had to chuckle at the theme for this year's Homecoming parade. "Deja Vu SMU, Remembering the Past, Living the Future".
SMU football fans have had a sense of deja vu for a loooong time now. Every Saturday since 1989, in fact, we get to 'remember the past' (DP). I've yet to figure out what there is to live for in the future.
