I have no interest in Texas/ou- but why am I just now hearing about this bomber guy at the OU game and the security step-up at fair park?

I was there at the game. The entire situation was very strange. It happened a few minutes before halftime, if I remember correctly. The stadium is next to one of the two major ovals on campus. I would say that he was approximately 35-45 yards from the stadium, sitting on a bench. The explosion occured and soon thereafter the authorities shut down that oval and the West side of the stadium. They made no anouncement of this, obviously to ward off any panic. The guy was an engineering major, to himself most of the time. His family said he always loved explosives etc. . . OU Pres. David Boren was quick to rule this a suicide, the area was cleaned and a new bench was placed where the bombing happened. It is almost like it never happened, very strange. A guy who was 30 ft away said that when the bomb robot approached the body, this guy could see the monitor connected to the bomb robots camera, all that was left were the guys hips and legs. It completely blew his torso off against a couple of coach busses waiting to pick people up after the game. No one was hurt. Many people are questioning the suicide call, since it was recently found out that the young man had tried to buy large amounts of amonium nitrate at a local farm/ranch supply. The FBI had apparently been watching this guy, considering the first photo of him to be released on the news was a mugshot the FBI had on file.
