Chris was struggling earlier this year but was 3 for 3 last night on his field goals. According to my math, each of those points made a difference. Special Teams, although not yet perfect, were much improved. Keep it up!

Special Teams had a botched snap on the extra point and a kickoff out of bounds. Botched snap I feel was offset by a well run attempt for 2 after the bad snap although unsuccessful. Overall there was very good improvement on the STs. Only bad I felt was why we did not go for 2 on the extra point where we had the bad snap. I thought that was a given. I have to give the STs a B+ for execution and an A+ for improvement.

I don't know if it's fair to say McMurtray "struggled" earlier this season. At least three of his errant FGs were the result of misguided snaps that forced Hasson to make a great play getting the ball down, and therefore forced MacMurtray to adjust his steps during his approach. That's tough.

Imagine hitting a golf ball when you have to stop your swing halfway through. Charles Barkley has shown that you can't hit it straight that way!

MacMurtray is a real weapon. Bombs away!

I agree SMU guy. He is a LOT better than a lot of people give him credit for. A mother of the current kicker for Rockwall, where MacMurtray went to high school, told me that he can kick the ball as far with his left foot as his right foot! She also indicated that the pros have been checking him out.

BTW her son, Scott, is also interested in SMU. She claims that he can kick the ball as far as 63 yards. Evidentally his strong leg comes from playing select soccer.

I am glad he can kick as far with his left foot as he can with his right since he is a left footed kicker.

Yeah, Mrydel (LOL).

Small point, but I thought he played at Rowlett.

It was Rowlett. His father is a coach there.
