I've been hoping for a season that really messes with the current system. Granted it's early and things seem to fall into place by season's end, but how great would it be to see:
either Texas or TTech go unbeaten and win the Big XII
USC go unbeaten
either Georgia or Alabama go unbeaten and win the SEC
Penn State go unbeaten and win the Big 10
either FSU or Va Tech go unbeaten and win the ACC
With 5 unbeatens, who gets to play in the national championship game?
Or do we finally start talking seriously about a 16 team playoff like they seem to manage in I-AA?

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Hope it comes true.

Believe it or not, I hate the Longwhores more than I hate the Aggies. The Aggies have cheated like we did and gotten punished (never as bad as we were, but at least punished). UT cheats as bad as we ever did, never caught, never punished and then they get all sanctimonius about how bad we were.

O.K. There's *one* Raider fan that I don't hate.

And, yes...the Aggies got smacked around good on Saturday!

I hate to burst Texas Tech's bubble, but even if Tech beats UT and goes undefeated, they won't play for the national championship. That scheduling really hurts them. If it gets to that point, watch. There will be multible one loss teams ahead of them, possibly a two loss team as well.

Yeah, scheduling my alma mater, Sam Houston State, and Florida International didn't exactly do wonders for 'em in Lubbock, did it?

Interesting predictions by Jerry Palm (BCS Guru) as to BCS next week:
1) USC
2) Va Tech
3) UT
4) FSU
5) GA
Might be time for Mack Brown to start begging again...seemed to work last year.

As much distain as I have for Texas, I find it hard not to have them #2 and would truly enjoy a USC/UT Championship. I think it would be a good match up with USC winning in a high scoring affair.

I don't think any realistic Tech fan is expecting to play for the national championship.... most aren't even looking to BCS right now... its just nice to be sitting where we are, there hasn't been a 5-0 start since I think '89(I'm probably wrong but I think thats what they said) and on top of it all Tech had never won in Lincoln 'til last Saturday. I couldn't be asking for a better Senior year of football...lol
