I couldn't believe it when Dale Hansen led his coverage of the weekend college games with the SMU game. Granted, it wasn't as extensive as UT/OU, but it was Dale. And he did show all of the final play of the game. Didn't mention anything about Romo having a good game, etc., but, again, it was Dale. For once, I have to say thank you.

For those of you like me who missed it, the channel 8 news is replayed on channel 52 and it is on now.

Now we've had two instances of increased SMU coverage by Hansen after wins. Guilty conscience?

Thanks for that notice, PK! I watched it on Channel 52. One question: who was the girl in the stands wearing the PINK SMU t-shirt?

My email to Hansen followed by his REPLY!

Mr. Hansen:

As a lifelong loyal Mustang fan, I want to thank you
for leading off your Sunday night broadcast of NCAA
football coverage with the last second TD win by SMU
over UAB on Saturday, Oct. 8.

It's been a rough road for the Mustangs over the past
15+ years. We all know what happened. But it's time to
move past all of that.

Thanks for highlighting this AWESOME victory on Sunday
night as your 'lead story'. Especially on Texas - OU
weekend!

I look forward to seeing more SMU coverage on WFAA in
the weeks to come. After all, SMU *is* the ONLY NCAA
Div. 1-A team in Dallas!

Sincerely,
********

His reply:

No problem it was a very good win ... And we'll try to do a little
more
as the year goes on

Did he emphasize the word "little"?

Good news! We just need to give him something good to talk about, and with the next three games, hopefully we will!

I also e-mailed him. I'll let you know if I get a response.
Good to see he's aware that SMU is still in Dallas. Wonder who tipped him off?
