Bennett praises receiver, quarterback

UNIVERSITY PARK – Coach Phil Bennett said receiver Blake Warren is playing well this season despite not having great statistics. Warren is averaging 11.4 yards on punt returns and 19.2 yards on kickoff returns. Warren also has nine receptions for 105 yards.
Bennett also said the more snaps freshman backup quarterback Justin Willis receives with the first- and second-teams, the better he gets. Willis is competing with Chris Phillips for the No. 2 spot behind starter Jerad Romo.

RB Cedrick Dorsey (ankle) didn't practice but is expected to today. ... WR Columbus Givens is going from No. 88 to 4. QB Tony Eckert was No. 4 but is out for the season (broken left collarbone).
