WTF? WHERE WERE THE STUDENTS TODAY?

One word for the student body section today: LOSERS!

After last week's upset of UAB there is no logical reason that the student body section can give for not showing up at today's game. Pathetic.

I was at the game

Starting NEXT WEEK. Tulsa is a very doable road trip, and not to go old school on everyone, but I remember road trips being a hell of a lot of fun.

I'm making the drive, and hope to see a good turnout by the PonyFans.

BEAT TULSA!

SMU has a total enrollment of around 10,000. Excluding the football team, band and cheerleaders, I bet there were less than 300 students at the game today. There were a lot of students on the boulevard but they did not show for the game. Something is terribly wrong. I do not know what the solution is but someone at the school needs to take responsibility for getting the students to support the athletic programs.

Did you really expect any students to come to the game? They got excited after TCU, went to A&M and got shamed, maybe went to Tulane and got shamed. Based off of every other year for the past decade, did you think they would come to the game to see the ponies play some team they never heard of? Pathetic? YES. Suprising? No.

There were SMU students at the A&M game? Where? I didn't see 'em.

I can't give you a number, but talking to them on Monday it sure seemed like alot, at least compared to the average away game turnout. Maybe there were very few and they all happen to be upperclassmen EE majors. Alot were probably spread out with their friends at atm. Doesn't matter. Point is that nobody should be surprised when they stop showing up when our record looks like this. It happens EVERY YEAR.

Awwwww, poor babies. They got shamed. I think their mommies told them not to sit in the hot sun, and get skin cancer.

They shamed themselves today by going to the boluvard and not to the game.

After Marshall and UAB, there should have been a crowd

SMU played two good games on the road and ECU looked winnable (it was). There should have been a better crowd, especially the students. Tulane gets better support than this and they have no home games.

That's lame. The alumni - those that still choose to come to the games - and non-alumni fans (like me) were there. If the students had gotten off their a**es and come to the game, it could have made a difference. Key word: could. But since they didn't show, we won't really know now, will we?

Why would they come? Sure, we have two wins so far this season, but so far, the home games have looked to have been boring as hell. I would go to the games because I am more hardcore than others, but given our record since 2002, why would they come???

You are correct that the record stinks, but how can you say that today's game was boring?

Look, I've been all for the program for a while, but I can't blame people for not coming. We suck, and ever game is the same for the most part. We score the first touchdown, the the rest is downhill. Plus, there weren't that many people on the BLVD anyway.
When we start CONSISTANTLY winning games (more than 3 a year) I would expect a bigger turnout. Till then, I'll probably keep leaving after the band plays...
