Turnovers!!!!!

The name of the ECU game was turnovers. We gave up the ball too many times deep in OUR end of the field. The D just can't be expected to overcome these types of mistakes. Four plays and this game is 17-3 or 20-2. A long pass out of the end zone that for some reason our D-backs can't keep in front of them. And 3 turnovers deep in our end of the field. This was SMU of Caven fame. A good effort by the players. But the best effort can't overcome those serious mistakes. And stupid plays killed drives. Romo takes a sack in the first half at about midfield instead of throwing the ball away. Martin acted as if he was in 4th grade and just now practicing how to receive a handoff. He put the ball on the ground too many times. The strange thing is this team could go to Tulsa and play very well and win. Or the SMU of ECU fame could show up and turn the ball over 10 times. Who knows which team shows up? On the bright side, when was the last time we had a serious mean something goal line stand? Our D rose to the occasion late in the game when stopping ECU actually meant something. Good job fellows.

the goal line stand at that point in the game was special. I'd rank it right up there with the goal line stand against Kansas 9-2-2000. The major difference was that it was noisy that night against Kansas. These guys found it within themselves yesterday. Impressive indeed.
