Geek requestAnything that can be done to clear up the blurred picture on the full screen viewing on cstv.com all access viewing. Please answer in terms that I can understand like ...."first you hit the side of the big thing with the picture on it." etc
I am going to bump this and try my question again now that the game is over. Is there anything to do or is there upgraded monitors or other equipment that will allow a clear picture on the internet game feed? Does everyone else suffer with the same blurred distance shot on the full screen feed? I get a very clear small screen and not bad on the close up shots on the big, but the full field shot is very poor quality. I have cable feed, and pretty good hardware.
I've got the same problem. I bring up the full screen and then stand back from the monitor. It's just too blurry to watch up close. It helps standing farther away, but the quality is still poor...but not as poor as the audio was yesterday.
It's not your equipment, but the quality of the video feed. They choose to broadcast at a lower resolution so that data can be transfered faster on the wire. It's essentially a trade off - you can have high quality video but it's not really feasible for most customers because of throughput issues, buffering, etc. Just think how frustrated you would be if your video cut out every 10 seconds and displayed 'buffering...' I'd rather have the graininess than a choppy feed.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.
Thank you for the response. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing I could do to improve it. Even with the blur, it is so much better than trying to pick up the game on the Ticket thru the internet. As good as our "homer" announcers may be, they do not paint a picture of the play as it occurs. I am really liking the video feed. It would be better if we could win some games now.
Mrydel,
I have a $2k+ monitor and experience the same problems. CP has it right....just sit a little farther behind than normal and the picture improves...
I am 55 years old. Sitting further away is not an option. Why don't you send me your $2k monitor and I will see if it works better here? ![]()
My monitor was screwed up, too. I could have swore I saw the Mustangs call a pass play to the flat when inside the five on a second down play. They then ran a weak handoff to DeMyron on third down for a loss of yardage.
That had to have been a monitor problem, right?
If we were going for 2 we would start by getting penalized for having too many men on the field (probably at least 14, since these conversions seem to be very tricky for us). Then from the 8 (or wherever) we would run a quick pass to the sideline for a gain of 1, or if the receiver breaks a tackle, we could get as many as 4 yards.
you cant beat rich, craig and jimmy
