Where the Hell Was Lowery?

OK when I watch these games on TV or the internet I sometimes don't always get to focus on the substitute patterns so I just assumed that Devin Lowery just didn't make any big plays. But then I checked the participation charts and noticed he didn't even get into the game. Did he arrive late in the 2nd Q driving up from Dallas with DeMyron Martin? Perhaps, we should send out an APB for Lowery and Phillips. Don't remember any mention of an injury? Lowery had finally been making some strides with 6 catches in the last two weeks including a nice TD catch and a couple of big first downs. There is no justification for playing players who will never take this team to a higher level and sitting young athletes on the bench-we have assured yet another losing season. Where the hell was he?

Just a guess but I notice at the home games where my vision is not as blurry that the receivers are constantly shuttled and it is conceivable that Lowery was in but by chance on running plays or on plays that someone else was the target. I still believe that Martin was punished for 1 quarter due to the fumbles in the previous game. If so, thats a sign that Bennett knows he will be back next year. Not a smart thing to do if your job is on the line.

No every NCAA game has a Participation Chart which can be accessed on smumustangs.com under the Statistics tab. These stats are kept for redshirt and eligibility issues. Lowery did not play. An additional point under the headline-Another Bennett Wasted Redshirt-I noticed that Bryce Hudman played in a couple of games but has not participated in the last 4 games. Why was the redshirt taken off? Again Bennett is the worst developer and utilization of young talent I have ever seen.

They were both standing together on the sidelines the entire game, never hitting the field.
