Please attend the Homecoming game

Postby Dopey Doowrong » Fri Oct 28, 2005 10:58 am

I am hoping ALL of you plan to attend the Homecoming game next weekend against Rice. In case you idiots didn't realize it, it looks MUCH better for me if more than 10,000 of you people show up, OK? You call yourselves "ponyfans" so act like it. Dig up your dead aunt and bring HER to the game if you have to (just make sure you buy her a ticket), but let's turn that mutha out, PUHLEEEEEZE!!!

What do you want me to do, GUARANTEE a win? Well, put it this way, my sources (which always tell me exactly what I want to hear) have informed me that there is a GOOD chance we could beat Bye this weekend. For some reason I can't seem to figure out where they're playing this joke of a team [pun intended], but I'm sure you'll find a way to get there.

Oh, and while your here walking around MY pristine frickin campus, why don't you stop by my office and drop off another check with my secretary so we might be able to afford a win or two next year, OK? Would that be SO HARD? We have a few buttons with that new program-saving logo on them that we can give you for your donation. I think I even still have a few of those TCU trinkets, if you prefer that, BUT FOR F%$*s' sake, DONATE, OK??? Without your donations, I can't plan my next VACATION, OK? And then we BOTH LOSE!! Is that what you mean people want?

PASS THE DONUTS!! And beat those Rice Eagles!!!

Good to see you're not getting personal.

I will be at the game. And I do give to the Mustang Club. How do you help?

Hey Einstein....the people who post on this board attend games. Preach your message to the students (namely the greek system). Frankly, why would anyone attend a football game after fifteen years of crap (exception: Cavan's winning season)?

Except for those who post here how they're either not going to any games, or won't go to future games for one reason or another. You're right - many of the people on this board are loyal, supportive fans. But not all. And to single out the greeks .... I don't know if that's fair or not. I would bet that there are plenty of greeks who do attend, and plenty of non-greeks who don't. The lack of support seems to be more widespread than merely a greek/non-greek line.

Judging from my view of the student section at the ECU game, the lack of support seems to be evenly distributed between the greeks and non-greeks since no students show up.

How about we get the intrafraternity (I don't remember if it's intra- or inter-) counsel to sponsor beer buses to the game? When we used to take them to Texas Stadium there was a pretty good turnout. They could have the buses drive up and down Central several times and then deposit the students at the game. Don't let them on the Blvd. because we would never get them back. Maybe a large group would be too drunk to notice where they were and stay at the game.

Just a thought.

Haha, no joke - the 65 people who check this site are the 65 people you see in the stadium on saturdays sitting beside the band and in the alumni section...Go tell the rest of the 5 million people who live in Dallas.
