The first year under Meyer we played Rice in the Cotton Bowl. That team was doing badly also and only 6,000 fans showed up in the huge stadium. I remember Meyer looking up in the virtually empty Cotton Bowl and saying "This hurts!".

At least 6,000 fans in Ford won't look as small. :cry:

I don't think Saturday's "crowd" will hit the 6,000 mark. If we announced HPHS was playing we could probably draw 25,000. I'll be there, but the rest of my group has bailed.

Is this the week Cash Birdwell is being honored? He deserves a big crowd for all he's done for SMU.
