If we had lost, I would be devastated. Beating Rice hardly satisfies me though. I'm must be a lost cuase.
Lost cause or lost cuss, either one

We are a much better team than Rice. This is a game we should have won fairly easily and we did. However, based on prior games I have to admit I stayed to the kneel downs because I have no trust that we would not blow it in the end. Sitting on the 50 close to the field, the players were really fired up with the win. Maybe this portends good things for the future.

I guess so. We've beaten 2 teams that beat us by a combined score of 88-10 last year. TCU, and Rice.

Definately one of the better days yesterday.
Tons of stuff to work on but whens the last time we were up 20-0 going into the 4th quarter much less had a 27-0 score on someone.

No kidding. It wasn't overly pretty, that's for sure, but it was a thorough victory for the Ponies. Now, with an extra week to prepare again, let's crank it up another notch and beat Houston!
If we beat UH, then I get excited

Beating UH would make my day. Is it possible for SMU to have two wins in a row? Be still my heart because Lucy is going to pull away the football once again about the time Peanuts tries to kick it. So I will keep champagne on ice and a sharp razor near by to be ready for any eventuality after the Coogs game.

Wouldn't that be nice? I was there in 1989 when they ran it up, and I went nuts when we beat them a few years later at Ownby. What I wouldn't give for another win over those guys ....

That Rice team on Saturday was the worst Div1 football team I have ever seen in person, they had no athletes!

Joel Armstrong (#13 - QB) is one of their few athletes..
Well maybe I'm biased since he came from Longview High School. He sure killed us last year though.
It's kind of weird..but I sure loved seeing our guys get to him Saturday.
