UTEP's RB out for season

Apparently UTEP's starting RB Tyler Ebell had an injury that resulted in a lacerated kidney against Rice last week. Poor guy, that injury sounds VERY painful.

That said, we may have a better shot against UTEP, he was a key player for them.

yep that is a big loss but they do have another Parade All-American RB and another who plays a lot too. They're pretty deep there but it should help.

UTEP will still spank us. They are a better team.

Come on Sally...that was uncalled for and I don't for a minute believe you really meant it the way it came out. Say it ain't so.

I believe that was just a play on Fisher DeBerry's comments about TCU... :D

You are correct sir. I was just making a little joke/reference to the Air Force coach who partially blamed his loss to TCU on the fact that they had more "blacks" who were faster.

Didn't mean to offend anyone, especially any colored fellas who can run fast.

BTW Ebell's backup former Parade All-American Marcus Thomas had 117 yards on 23 carries against UTEP last nite so he appears to be a quality backup.

I assume you meant "against Tulsa" since Thomas plays for UTEP.

In any case, the only thing that will be affected is perhaps some quality depth and versatility.

Ebell rushed for 76.57 yards and caught for 35.71 yards per game this season. His all-purpose running was 127.86. He had accounted for about 1/4 of their offense.

Also help the defense prepare for one less running back/receiver.
