MY EQUIVALENT TO GOING TO A BOWL GAME THIS YEAR...
HOW??? WHAT??? WHY???
[1] SMU over UTEP;
T H E N:
[2] UTEP wins CUSA title game & hosts Liberty Bowl vs. MWC school;
T H E N:
[3] TCU snubbed by BCS, has maybe 2 choices--
a- step up to Liberty bowl for $1.4MM, the Frogs play UTEP (also a loser to SMOO) & loses to UTEP on 12/31;
OR
b- TC Who runs away from chance to rectify SMU loss & goes to
Pu$$y LasVegas Bowl and splits $800K w/ MWC.
Given my "a" scenario, it could be a great New Year's Eve!
YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

Man, get a life or make something of yourself. You must be one extremely frustrated person. OK, I know you are a SMOO fan, but good God you need a hobby.

That is the regular season cellar. What happens if TCU plays Houston (unlikely) or UTEP in a bowl game and finishes .500?

SMU or UTEP will have won 3 games and be over the Frogs .500 record. Commissioner Stallion of the Texas State Division II 1A Conference offices does not recognize unsanctioned exhibitions such as the Liberty Bowl as their Championship because it is based in Tennessee. The William P. Clements Memorial Trophy goes to the team with the best season record in Conference play-so it counts as a game but not the championship-simply another regular season contest.

I am trying to imagine the "The William P. Clements Memorial Trophy."
I think it should be:
a) a solid gold bible;
b) a relief bust of David Stanley with painted white mustache; or
c) a statue of David Berst being carried out of the conference room.

Ooooooh, a six game winning streak, which by the way is now over. When it gets to 15, you can talk.

Now THAT's funny!
Kind of like the time (maybe eight years ago?) when UCLA came to the Cotton Bowl, and after winning, they ripped off their jerseys to reveal t-shirts that said "UCLA -- TEXAS STATE CHAMPS" (with the last three words in maroon, puke orange and red to commemorate UCLA's wins over A&M, UT and Houston that year).
Isn't C-USA 2-0 this season against the MWC?

I vote for the solid Gold Bible-that's pretty good!!! For those that didn't get the reference - Govenor Bill, when asked whether it was unethical for him as Chairman of the Board of Govenors to represent to the NCAA that they had cleaned up the Program when they continued to make payments under the table on the "Payroll to Meet", was quoted as saying that he doesn't remember a Bible in the room when the misrepresentations were made to the NCAA. That my friends is why the SMU case is entirely different from all others and why we deserved the Death Penalty.
