TCU versus Texas Tech

Postby Sam I Am » Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:54 am

Since we have played both TCU and Tech recently, I would love to see a bowl game between these two teams -the Tech Bedwetters and the TCU Flogs.

Very weird post. TCU and Tech have played each other more recently than SMU and Tech have played.

9/18/2004-Tech won 70-35.

They will also play 9/16/2006.

Weird is TCU ranked above Tech

Postby Sam I Am » Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:50 am

Perhaps you have escaped the irony of TCU being ranked above Tech. Don't you just love the prospect of Tech's bowl pairings dropping to the point that they might have to play a non-BCS school like TCU. And TCU's vain glorious 10-1 record may only net them a game with the champion of the conference they just left. If I were a Flog or Texas Tick, I might feel like when it comes to bowl games that there is no justice. Being an also ran stay-at-home team supporter, I have to rub it in. Yes, TCU playing Tech would be just deserts for both.

Tech would be a huge step up from what appear to be our bowl options at this point. I just wish that we (and any other non-BCS team) would have the opportunity to prove ourselves against a team in the top 15-20. A non-BCS school beating a 6-5 team from a big conference is just not going to turn heads. The system just sucks (for all non-BCS schools).

As an expert on all 3 teams, I'd say this: the Purple Pukes would definitely make a game of it against the Red Raiders.
Hell, they MIGHT even get within 3 touchdowns of them, and hold the Tech offense a mere half-hundred.
