Booyah! ... Putting Money Where My Mouth Is

I put twenty bucks on my ponies this weekend. Which goes against my golden rule. Never, ever, bet the ponies. (Not that I normally bet on sports at all, but after a friend of a friend's recent trip to Vegas... well it's been small time bets ever since.)

Of course I do have two safer bets on the table to recoop my losses should the unthingable happen.

Go Ponies

Ahh, one of those... I got mine removed... speaking of removed - the sports book didn't offer the Ponies game, now that is truly unthingable. So, I guess I can stay true and not bet on the Ponies. [sigh] probably for the best.

Why don't you take that 20$ of clearly disposable income and donate it to the Mustang Club where it can actually help SMU rather than your friendly bookie?

Also, how do you go about puting your money on the ponies?

Well, my mind told me that "putting" was like a "putting green", thus "to put" must be different, but then "puting" did not look right... whatever.

Oh and the $20 isn't disposable... it's more that I put in $10 a few weeks back and have truned it into $88. Just imagine if I had put in $100. Ah, c'est la vie...

Man... what is this? The jump all over ThadFilms thread?

I guess this is why I used to never post while working... (no time to proof read) ... well anyhow, I hope all of you have an agonizingly boring day and your dinner is cold when you get home. Or a slow death delievered by the beaks of foul smelling pigeons. You know, either or, I'm in a multiple choice kind of mood.

Peace and Carrots,
Thaddeus

Well...

The sports book came through for me. They put SMU Houston on the board late Friday... I put my $20 down, and turned it into $100.

Please feel free to make fun of my misspellings again... maybe it had some effect on the outcome. (Oh yeah, I did correct the spelling in the thread title.)

It's all nice. Woohoo. Go Ponies. (Um, but I don't know if I'll bet on SMU two weeks in a row... but who knows?) ... Who needs costly betting tips - just ask ThadFilms. I'm undefeated so far, turning ten bucks into $234. (I also put $20 down on Simms and the Bucs to beat the Falcons. $66 yield.)

Time to quit while I'm ahead.

Booyah,
Thaddeus

Go Mustangs.

SMU is a 7 point dog... looks like we're getting some respect, huh?
