I thought we were going to run 2 back sets before the season started. Bennett said Andrew McKinney would be moved to help us run 2 backs. With our O-Line I really feel we need a lead blocker. Our Tight End has been a waste of space. We had one of the best TE's in the country and we never utilized him. Vincent Chase is the one who ought to look elsewhere for his sake. DeMyron is our go to man for years to come. I understand Massey's situation losing his Mom and all.

Massey would also probably like to be on a team with a winning record and get to play in a bowl game. Given that TCU has done that 7 of the last 8 years, the odds look much better for that next year over in Ft Worth.

He'd have to sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility. So, he'd get to start only in his senior year. Many schools will not waste two years of scholarship on a one year player. But who knows any school desperate enough will do desperate things. I suspect that if any player leaves, he will go to a 1-AA program where he will get to play for 2 years. It worked pretty well for Josh McCown.

He'd transfer and probably have LESS opportunity to play. TCU is stocked at RB.

He'd be better served to work as hard as he did this year and get PT next two years.

I seriously doubt TCU would even offer Massey a scholarship at this point. I know they think they have a shot at one of the Top JC RBs in the country and then have Merrill and that great freshman coming back. They are L-O-A-D-E-D. And Massey hasn't proved he's a Division 1A running back yet--he's proven he can block but running is a questionmark.

I hope he stays. He shed some pounds this year to improve his quickness, but with Martin looking like the real deal, I would like to see Massey strap those pounds back on and be an absolutely punishing blocker. If he got back up to 220 or 225, and with the power he has in those tree trunks that let him squat 650 or more (five times -- that's all Faucette recognizes), he could be a really brutal blocker.

C'mon, HixsontoLeVias. Weigh in on this one, too! ;) What did the guy at the produce section at Piggly Wiggly say about this?
