Let's not forget, the last three teams that we've beaten all have been playing with incentive:

Rice was playing to avoid going winless.
Houston was playing for bowl eligibility.
UTEP was playing for a chance to go to the C-USA title game.

And we beat all three. WAY TO GO, PONIES!

I don't know what he said on the radio, but in his press conference, he said SMU is "playing as well as anyone in the conference," not "we're the best team" in the conference. A small difference, perhaps, but a difference nonetheless.

I listened to the locker room interview on the radio while driving home from the game. PB did say more than once he believed the team was the best team in CUSA at the present time. Of course, this is all academic since the season is over.
