Bennett Beware

Copeland fired Tom Rossley in 96 after our last 5 - 6 year. It was a very
similar year to this one with lots of close losses, and SMU was looking to
do better things, and go to a bowl game in 97.
Watchout Phil.

What is the point of this post? It is dumb to even suggest Bennett would be fired as we all know it isn't going to happen. If you disagree, are you willing to bet money on it? If not, why did you post it?

To remind people how Copeland it was to fire Rossley in 96.

He posted this as a FUNNY.
He had to because PB is not going antwhere.
Now go get some BIG MEN.
OK, we can get some 6'2" DB's, and fast big LB's and a QB.
But we still need 40% BIG MEN.

Not really, although a lot of my posts are tongue in cheek.
It was just as ridiculous, and Copeland to fire Rossley in 96 as it would be
to fire PB in this next week.

He may not be fired but a guy I know says Bennett is Snyder's pick to replace him at K-State, although my money's on OU's Venables. Has anybody else heard anything about this?

PB may not be fired, but if Copeland hasn't learned he SCREWED UP BIG
TIME when he fired Rossley, then Bennett might REALLY be gone.
Copeland may have set back SMU 9 years of recovering from the DP
when he fired Rossley.
What we may need is a big can of DOPEYBEGONE

if Rossley was still here we would have lost to Rice for 16 years in a row.

Naaaaah, the Garland Owls could beat Rice this year. I know first hand
from watching South Garland beat Longview a couple of weeks ago.
Think Garland beat South by 2 TDs in district.

It would've been really close this year between the Lobos, and Rice
because their former Lobo QB Joel Armstrong knows all our plays.

I still think Longview could've beaten SMU last season.

Might've been a fun close game to watch in 03, but NOT this year.

If you don't count the 10 games forfetted for using an ineligible player in 1998, Cavan had a 5-6 record that year. We didn't fire him then, though we should have.
