Re: What an improvement
And Arkansas State is ranked higher than Arkansas. Put the piggies on the schedule. We need the SE exposure, plus, they will bring a lot of folks to Ford. Just send 'da money.
Re: What an improvement
Please note that Arkansas State is going to the New Orleans Bowl. First bowl since 1970 and first bowl since turning Div 1A. This has to be killing Broyles.
Re: What an improvement
I noticed that. And we have bowl bound ASU on the schedule next year. ASU won the Sun Belt title to earn the bowl berth. So far I haven't rubbed it into all the Arkie fans I work with. I spared one person the high level of gloat. Even without a winning season and a bowl bid, there is a certain amount of pleasure in having a much better season than other teams for a change.
Arkansas St. does have the 119th ranked stregth of schedule, while Arkansas has the 19th ranked SOS. That probably makes some difference.
BTW, ours is 87th. The nasty Horned Frogs (as my 3 y.o. calls them) are 62nd. Wonder how she learned that?! ![]()
Man this feels good...Especially to say that we have the same record as Tennessee and a better record than Kentucky.
Wouldn't that be fun to place Kentucky and Arkansas..not to mention beat them both (which I do think we could).
bored, so i figued where that puts us if you take out all the BCS teams ranked ahead of us.
22nd out of the NON-BCS teams- not bad. not great, but probably a more acurate snapshot and we're 3-1 against teams ahead of us on that ranking Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
That ranking is better than 1 Big XII school (OSU), 2 ACC schools (Wake and Duke), 2 Big 10 schools (Indiana & Illinois), 2 Big East Schools (Syracuse & Cinci), 3 PAC 10 Schools (Washington, WSU, Arizona), and 4 SEC schools (Ole Miss, Miss State, Ark, Kentucky) -- meaning that we wouldn't be lowest ranked in any BCS conference.
Also better than 4 from the Mountain West Retirement Village that TCU was so anxious to join.
