Didn't think we would have 2 considering how many freshmen we ended up redshirting. Good to see Martin and Henderson getting some rec.

That's a good sign -- richly deserved for both guys.
Too bad the voters messed up the all-conference votes so badly.

I just hope some of the guys who redshirted this year prove so talented we can see them on the list next year.
My predictions: Emmanuel Sanders, Bryce Hudman, Chase Smith and Justin Willis.
(How long until spring ball starts?????????)

With our d-line, none of those guys get enough playing time.
I think one of the two redshirted WR will get a lot of PT, though. And so will whomever wins the K and P jobs. Those are probably our best shots.
At QB, we will either start Phillips or a JUCO. I don't think Willis will see the field next year.

There was a "freshman all-american" team named yesterday by someone. Did Martin or Henderson get any type of mention?

Doubt Martin would get much of a look for such a list:
Tyrell Sutton, Northwestern (232 car, 1390 yds, 16 td)
Darren McFadden, Arkansas (176 car, 1113 yds, 11 td)
Ontario Sneed, Central Mich. (220 car, 1065 yds, 8 td)
Ray Rice, Rutgers (175 car, 1012 yds, 5 td)
Arian Foster, Tennessee (183 car, 879 yds, 5 td)
Wynel Seldon, Wyoming (187 car, 871 yds, 11 td)
Kevin Smith, UCF (205 car, 868 yds, 5 td)
DeMyron Martin, Southern Methodist (185 car, 854 yds, 7 td)
Steve Slaton, West Virginia (151 car, 838 yds, 13 td)
Javon Ringer, Michigan St. (123 car, 817 yds, 5 td)
Henderson was impressive compared to other freshman kick returners, ranking 2nd in returns, first in yards, first in touchdowns and third in average.
Jessie Henderson, Southern Methodist (24 kret, 663 yds, 1 td)
Dante Love, Ball St. (23 kret, 594 yds, 1 td)
Derek Pegues, Mississippi St. (28 kret, 559 yds, 0 td)
Chubb Small, Marshall (21 kret, 544 yds, 1 td)
Felix Jones, Arkansas (17 kret, 543 yds, 1 td)
Brandon Tate, North Carolina (21 kret, 542 yds, 1 td)
Karlos Whittaker, Navy (21 kret, 537 yds, 0 td)
Cedric Peerman, Virginia (19 kret, 518 yds, 0 td)
Patrick Jackson, Louisiana Tech (17 kret, 471 yds, 0 td)
Brent Casteel, Utah (20 kret, 464 yds, 0 td)

Felix Jones of Arkansas was named as a returner. Thats what led me to believe Martin and Henderson might at least get an honorable mention.

Well they did not have an Honorable Mention category so I have no problem with them not being mentioned.
Thanks for the good info.
