Last Undefeated Team

Has anyone else thought about the fact that SMU was the last of the old SWC teams to go undefeated? Should UT beat USC it would be the first time since 1982 that any of that group pulled the trick. That is a long time and a lot of combined seasons. Between now and January 4 I think we should be especially proud of this fact and bring it to the attention of anyone (including call in show hosts) who will listen. Let's not be shy about showing our pride in our school.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought about that.

You see now... I was thinking that there was another team to do it, and honestly TAMU came to mind, but I just thought, well Topper probably looked it up before posting - so TAMU must have had a loss. Oh well, it was a nice thought while it lasted.

Of course, TAMU didn't go to a bowl that year for being on Santa's naughty list. And who did they tie? That's right, baby.

I thought that may have been the year SMU tied A&M down in San Antonio, but I didn't remember them as having won 10 games that year. COOL! 8)

Maybe the 1994 Aggies should play the 2005 Froggies in the "We Can Beat Anyone But SMU" Bowl.

Doesn't sound nearly as ridiculous as some of the actual bowl games now in place....
