did I hear correctly that Kennedy has an ACL injury and will miss spring ball? Did he get hurt in the Utep game or what?

I understand the preliminary report was torn ACL, it happened with 3 sec. left of the UTEP game on the onside kick. I haven't heard of any updates.

If this is true, this a terrible loss.

In most cases, an ACL injury needs almost a year to fully recover & rehab.

I talked with Kennedy last week. He was in rehab to build his knee up just before sugery. His recovery time shouldnt be that long and he will be in great shape going into his senior year. GO STANGS.

Postby stangdad » Tue Dec 06, 2005 8:24 pm

Going to have surgery this Friday to repair the ACL. Rehab 6 months will be as good as new from what I have been told.

All the best to Ryan and you, stangDad. You know, my wife gets worn out from me pointing out, EVERY time we drive from the valley to San Antonio, that "that way...Beeville...y'know, that's Ryan Kennedy's hometown."

Take care of that young man, stangdad. We're all hoping for a quick recovery for #89.

StangDad.... man, oh, man.... we're all with you and your son.... Ryan's my wallpaper at work. It's that photo of him shedding that Nevada defender. (Did some darn good photoshop work on that pic, too... if I do say so myself!)

I for one am proud to call Ryan one of our own... all the best, and let Ryan know that he so reminds me why I have been a fan of this team since my youth. He is most definitely a Mustang.

Best of luck on the surgeration (made up word).
