After the UTEP win - the phone has been ringing off the hook, so to speak.

We beat three bowl teams this year and TCU ranked at 15. That will get the attention of guys that want to WIN.

"Ringing Off the Wall?" Why are recruits calling you? Oh yeah "reliable" informed sources. It will show up soon enough if it happens-no need to play the company line.

That doesn't seem like the company line. After the win/loss totals this team has had in recent years, it makes sense that three straight wins at the end, plus wins over good programs like Froggie High, Houston, UAB and UTEP, would result in more players, parents and coaches getting in contact with our coaches. There's nothing in BUS's statements that implies that all of the UT/USC commitments are suddenly clamoring to come to the Hilltop. But it makes perfect sense that we're getting better reception and response from recruits. It's OK to be optimistic and hopeful, you know. Have a super day.

SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I would rather be accused of sunshining than being an eternal pessimist, I suppose, but in this case, it doesn't qualify. Had I said something along the lines of "all is right with the world" and "we're going to win every game next year" and "the following guys are going to be All-Americas and first-round draft picks ...." that would be sunshining.
You also might note the oh-so-subtle tongue-in-cheek element in my post, which was nothing more than a response to unnecessary negativity.

Bus is merely repeating what we were all told at the Coach's breakfast. Winning three in a row and the last two against bowl teams helps recruiting. It is better than having lost those games. Big shock.

Now you can be cynical if you choose, but there actually are some reasons for optimism next year. Might as well be positive right up until we get pounded by Tech in Lubbock on 9/3.

Come on...we have at least a sliver of a chance against TT in lubbock next september...even if we are breakin in a new QB

Now, wont TT be breaking in a new QB also???

Let's Go Mustangs.

It would be sweet to beat TT.

Touche Bus!

How sweet it would be to start the season with upsetting TT...however, I guess we should probably let at least seven more months go by before we start chatting about that game with any seriousness!

I do not have anything else to chat about unless you want to talk about 14 year old girl Christmas presents, next years vacation plans or what to invest my retirement in. Ha Ha Ha

To be honest, if you have your health, make enough money to pay the bills and have a few people that love you.... Life is good.

If SMU starts winning - Life would be great.

Peace Out 8)

There's nothing wrong with being a sunshiner, whatever your motives were....
